Kick-off meeting

The first online coordinators’ meeting took place this March, with partners from different countries participating to discuss the objectives of the initiative and the upcoming activities.

Project Overview
The project, implemented under KA210-SCH, aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to engage students with the natural world, combat screen addiction, and promote physical activity. The initiative sets out four key objectives:

  1. Knowledge Development: Preparing teachers to apply nature-based games and activities.
  2. Creative Methods: Enhancing teachers’ abilities to help children connect with the natural environment.
  3. Health Awareness: Increasing awareness of issues such as screen addiction and promoting physical activity among students.
  4. Innovative Learning: Developing new educational methods that use the advantages of natural environments to strengthen key competencies.

Upcoming Mobilities

The project includes four main mobilities, each taking place in a different country and focusing on a specific aspect of learning in nature:

Play in Nature: A Journey of Discovery (Hungary, Summer 2024):
This foundational event focuses on the project’s goals, raising awareness about screen addiction, and fostering communication among participants.

Screen Detox: Creative Art Events (Turkey):
This mobility helps teachers address screen addiction through creative art activities, offering practical experiences they can implement with students.

Mathematics in the Natural Environment (Greece):
Teachers explore mathematics through nature, integrating practical tasks that foster problem-solving skills and a love for the environment.

Sustainable Living: Steps Forward in Nature (Romania):
This mobility empowers teachers with sustainability practices, enabling them to teach students about the importance of environmental protection and eco-friendly living.

E-Twinning and Educational Innovation
The project launches an eTwinning platform led by the Romanian partner, which will facilitate collaboration among teachers and resource sharing. Additionally, game-based educational methods and various digital presentations will be developed to enrich the learning experience.

The online meeting marked an important step in the project’s progress, bringing enthusiasm and cooperation among partners. Through collaborative effort, the initiative aims to create a transformative educational experience that places nature, creativity, and innovation at the heart of schooling—ultimately helping children thrive beyond the digital world.
