As part of the pilot activity conducted in Romania, third-grade students participated in a practical workshop focused on environmental protection, where they explored the concept of the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Through a creative and educational exercise, the children browsed newspapers and magazines to cut out images illustrating these essential principles of sustainable living.
Working in teams, they analyzed and selected appropriate images, grouped them, and arranged them on thematic boards. Each group created a small visual “exhibition” demonstrating how simple, conscious everyday actions can help protect our planet.
The activity encouraged critical thinking, environmental responsibility, and creativity. By the end, the students clearly understood—through real examples—how they themselves can contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
