The mobility “Sustainable Living: Steps Forward in Nature” introduces teachers to a nature-integrated lifestyle, sustainability concepts and practical, eco-friendly skills. Over five days, participants explore topics such as sustainable living, conservation, recycling, reuse, natural habitats and project design.
Teachers learn:
- what sustainability means and why it matters,
- how to protect natural areas, flora and fauna,
- practical recycling and waste-management methods,
- how to design sustainability-focused school projects,
- how to integrate outdoor activities into teaching.
The target group includes teachers from Poland, Spain, Romania and Turkey who are interested in environmental education. They gain new knowledge, practical experience, and teaching resources to use in their own schools. Students also benefit as teachers begin offering sustainability-focused lessons, outdoor activities and eco-friendly practices.
This activity supports the project’s main objectives by:
- offering nature-based alternatives to reduce screen time,
- developing teachers’ and students’ key competences,
- promoting green practices and environmental awareness,
- strengthening creativity and innovative teaching approaches,
- encouraging European cooperation and identity.
Expected results include greater sustainability awareness, improved skills in planning nature-based activities, familiarity with eco-friendly practices and stronger international collaboration.
