The Art of Wind: Where Science and Creativity Meet in Grade 4 – Pilot activities in Romania

Fourth-grade students took part in an interdisciplinary Science & Art workshop titled “The Art of Wind – How Air Moves and Inspires”. During the session, children explored how the wind — an invisible force — can set light objects in motion and even become a creative tool.

Through simple and playful experiments, the students observed how air influences different materials and engaged in conversations about energy, nature, and everyday natural phenomena.

The workshop concluded with an artistic activity where each child used their own breath, colors, and imagination to create unique “wind paintings” — vibrant and expressive artworks that showcase the power of creativity and spontaneity.

The result: lively, colorful, and imaginative pieces that demonstrate how inspiring and experiential learning can be when science and art come together.
